We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Pharmacist to manage medication dispensing and ensure safe, effective drug therapy in a multispecialty hospital. The role involves collaborating with doctors and nurses, maintaining compliance with regulations, and promoting patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately as per doctor s orders.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions.
- Provide medication counseling to patients and caregivers.
- Maintain proper storage and handling of medicines as per guidelines.
- Monitor and manage inventory, including stock levels and expiry tracking.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of medications dispensed.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
- Handle controlled drugs as per legal requirements.
- Participate in pharmacovigilance and report adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
Qualifications Requirements:
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm / M.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with State Pharmacy Council (India).
- 2-5 years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred .
Skills Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of medications, dosages, and interactions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive communication and patient counseling skills.
- Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and inventory systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
- Multispecialty hospital pharmacy (inpatient outpatient services).
- Rotational shifts, including night duties.
