About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Python Pipeline Developer (Technical Director) to design, develop, and maintain production pipeline tools that support artists across multiple departments. The ideal candidate should have strong Python programming skills, hands-on experience with the ShotGrid (Flow Production Tracking) API, and a solid understanding of VFX production pipelines. You will work closely with artists, production teams, and supervisors to build scalable tools, automate workflows,



and improve production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production pipeline tools using Python.
- Develop automation solutions for asset management, publishing, rendering, and workflow optimization.
- Build and maintain integrations using the ShotGrid (Flow Production Tracking) Python API and ShotGrid Toolkit (SGTK).
- Develop Python scripting solutions for Autodesk Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Katana, and other DCC applications.
- Create desktop tools and utilities using PySide2/PySide6 and Qt.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production pipeline issues.
- Collaborate with artists, supervisors, and production teams to understand workflow requirements and deliver efficient technical solutions.
- Review code, mentor junior developers, and promote coding standards and best practices.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and user documentation.
