Job Summary
The Physician Assistant – Minimal Invasive Surgery will support Consultants in patient care, clinical coordination, pre-operative and post-operative management, documentation, and smooth functioning of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during OPD consultations, ward rounds, and surgical procedures.
- Take patient history, record vital signs, and maintain clinical documentation.
- Coordinate pre-operative investigations, patient admissions, and surgical scheduling.
- Monitor patients before and after surgery and report any clinical concerns to the consultant.
- Assist in preparing patients for minimally invasive procedures.
- Coordinate with Operation Theatre, Nursing, Diagnostics, and other departments for seamless patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, discharge summaries,
and procedure-related documentation in HMIS.
- Educate patients and relatives regarding procedure preparation, post-operative care, and follow-up plans.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and quality standards.
- Support departmental audits, data collection, and clinical reporting activities.
Qualification
- B.Sc. Physician Assistant / B.Sc. Clinical Care Technology / B.Sc. Allied Health Sciences (Physician Assistant)
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Exposure to Surgical Services, Operation Theatre, or Minimal Invasive Surgery will be preferred.
