Reporting to the Director of Business & Innovation, this role contributes to the delivery of high-quality hospice services by ensuring equipment, facilities and support systems are available, safe, efficient and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities
- Organise and maintain hospice clinical equipment including storage, compliance testing schedules, general maintenance, cleaning and repairs
- Deliver loan equipment to patients under hospice care in their private homes and collect equipment from private homes
- Maintain Hospice buildings and essential building services and grounds to a high standard
- Undertake daily repairs and general maintenance and repair of Hospice buildings, grounds and other plant or equipment
- Assist with non-mechanical maintenance of all NHH vehicles
- Ensure all non-medical equipment is electrically tested annually in compliance with NZ Safety Standards
- Provide oversight of external contractors in consultation with Director of Business & Innovation
- Coordinate electrical testing of all medical clinical equipment with adherence to compliance schedules




- Maintain clean and orderly storage systems for all clinical equipment meeting health and safety requirements
- Process equipment loans and returns in accordance with hospice procedures

About You
- Experience in facilities management, maintenance, equipment coordination, logistics or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to manage equipment registers, inventories or asset tracking systems
- Practical maintenance and repair skills
- Robust organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise competing demands
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
- Full, clean New Zealand driver's licence
- Physically capable of safely handling and transporting equipment
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Experience within healthcare, hospice, aged care or community health environments (desirable)
