Description
The Civil Engineer wll be responsible for civil/structural design in FEED, detailed design, and execution phases for power plant and energy infrastructure projects (CCGT/OCGT, substations, industrial facilities), ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and international codes
Responsibilities
- Perform design and analysis of RCC, steel, and composite structures for power plants
- Design Turbine & equipment foundations, Boiler structures, pipe racks, and support structures, Buildings (control rooms, auxiliary buildings), Cable trenches, drainage, roads, and site grading
- Perform analysis and design of various structures for static and dynamic forces covering dead loads, live loads, operating loads, temperature, wind, seismic and pulsations. Experience required in analysis and design of Steel structures like Piperacks, Technological Structures, Shelters, GMPs, VMPs, Pipe supports, Trussles, connection design and RCC structures like RCC Buildings, Pits, precast piperacks, Equipment foundations for static and energetic conditions. pile caps, Base plates, anchor bolts
- Carry out static, dynamic, seismic, and wind load analysis
- Co-ordination with designers for 3D model and 2D drawings, checking model and drawings, MTO, Co-ordination with other discipline for inputs and clearances on drawings
- Develop design basis, specifications, and calculation reports
- Assist in the preparation of technical inquiry requests (Inquiry Requisitions) to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Partake in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), review vendor drawings and documents. Review design calculations, ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with client equipment specifications and are within budgeted costs.
- Good knowledge on IS Codes, ACI, AISC, ASCE, Eurocodes.
