Role Description
This is a full-time, in office Optometrist role based at Akira Eye Hospital in Tuni, Andhra Pradesh. The Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and evaluation of ocular health. Daily responsibilities include prescribing spectacles and contact lenses, counseling patients on visual hygiene and eye care, and supporting ophthalmologists with pre- and post-operative assessments.



The role involves maintaining accurate clinical records, using diagnostic equipment such as slit lamps, autorefractors, and tonometers, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. The Optometrist will collaborate with other clinical and administrative staff to provide timely, respectful, and evidence-based care to all patients.

Qualifications
- Relevant educational background, such as a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution, with appropriate registration or eligibility as per local regulations.
- Clinical skills in refraction, contact lens fitting, basic binocular vision assessment, and routine ocular health screening.
- Ability to operate common ophthalmic diagnostic instruments, maintain accurate patient records, and follow established clinical protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain findings, educate patients, and collaborate effect
