Job Description – Purchase Manager (Mining – Granite Mines)

Position: Manager- Purchase & Store
Experience: 5–8 Years
Industry: Granite / Mining

Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end procurement activities for HEMM equipment and spares used in granite mining operations.
- Purchase of heavy machinery and equipment including Excavators, Tippers, Air Compressors, DG Sets, Electrical Panels, Welding Machines, etc.
- Procurement of spares, consumables, oils & lubricants, and other operational materials required for mines.
- Develop and manage vendor sourcing, negotiation, and rate finalization to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Prepare and process Purchase Requisitions (PR), Purchase Orders (PO), and follow up on timely delivery.
- Coordinate with Stores, Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, and Operations teams to understand material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, budget controls, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain proper purchase records, documentation, and MIS reports.
- Monitor inventory levels and plan purchases to avoid shortages or excess stock.




- Handle warranty, AMC, and after-sales service coordination with suppliers.

Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of mining machinery, HEMM equipment, and spare parts.
- Positive understanding of granite mining operations.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and procurement documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Qualification:
- Any Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in mining or granite industry is mandatory.

Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Experience in purchasing for open-cast granite mines.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Result-oriented with cost optimization mindset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
