The Account Executive is responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting project accounting, processing invoices, handling statutory compliance, and ensuring timely reporting. The role requires coordination with project teams, vendors, clients, and auditors to maintain efficient financial operations within a civil construction environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Management
- Maintain books of accounts and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare journal entries, payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, and accounting reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process vendor bills and customer invoices.
- Monitor cash flow and bank transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Project Accounting
- Maintain project-wise cost records and expenditure tracking.
- Verify subcontractor bills and supplier invoices.
- Coordinate with project engineers for work completion details and billing.
- Monitor project budgets and report cost variances.
- Prepare customer running bills (RA Bills) and final bills as required.
Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns.
- Deduct and deposit TDS as per applicable regulations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to accounting and taxation.
- Maintain records for audits and statutory inspections.
Payroll & Employee Payments
- Assist in payroll processing.
- Process employee reimbursements and advances.
- Maintain salary and statutory deduction records.
Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reports and MIS reports.
- Assist in preparing profit & loss
