About the Role

We are building a next-generation, AI-driven EdTech ecosystem explicitly engineered for the Saudi Arabian market. We are seeking a
Head of Engineering
to own our technical roadmap from zero to scale.

This is not a bureaucratic management role. You will start as an elite player-coach—personally architecting the core platform, orchestrating key AI and third-party integrations, and laying the groundwork. As the platform scales, you will have the absolute autonomy to recruit, build, and lead your own world-class engineering team from scratch.

Core ResponsibilitiesPhase 1: Zero-to-One Architecture (Months 1–3)
- LMS Deployment & Optimization:
Architect, deploy, and heavily customize a robust core learning management system (evaluating headless Moodle, Canvas, or equivalent frameworks).
- AI Tool Integration:
Native orchestration of AI microservices via APIs for automated student support chatbots, automated essay/assignment grading engines, and predictive learning analytics.
- Infrastructure Setup:
Establish secure, highly scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)



optimized for regional latency and data compliance standards in the MENA region.

Phase 2: Scale & Ecosystem Expansion (Months 4+)
- API Orchestration:
Seamlessly integrate the core LMS with regional payment gateways, performance marketing pixels, CRM platforms, and operations automation.
- Team Engineering:
Author technical documentation, define coding standards, and spearhead the recruitment of full-stack developers, QA engineers, and data engineers.
- Product Alignment:
Collaborate directly with the founding business strategy team to translate commercial goals into high-performance technical systems.

Technical Competencies Required
- LMS & Backend Engineering:
Deep architectural understanding of production-grade LMS engines (Moodle, Canvas, Open edX, or custom B2B/B2C SaaS platforms).
- AI & API Integration:
Proven experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) via API, vector databases,
