Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Mysuru. The Fashion Designer will conceptualize and develop current collections aligned with DAARA’s brand aesthetic and customer preferences, including sketching designs, selecting fabrics, and planning embellishments. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with pattern makers and tailors, overseeing fittings, and ensuring high-quality garment construction and finishing.
The role also involves working closely with the merchandising and e-commerce teams to prepare designs for online presentation, including styling looks and providing detailed product information. The Fashion Designer will stay current with fashion trends, materials, and techniques to create innovative, market-ready designs that resonate with DAARA’s audience.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Fashion Design and Fashion, with the ability to create original, marketable collections.
- Proficiency in working with Textiles, including fabric selection, drape, and material behavior.
- Experience in Embroidery and decorative techniques that enhance garment aesthetics.
- Hands-on expertise in Fitting, tailoring adjustments, and ensuring precise garment fit.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Ability to translate concepts into technical specifications and clear instructions for production teams.
