Role Description
This is a full-time, in office Optometrist role based in Kharagpur. The Optometrist will perform comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction and assessment of ocular health, and prescribe appropriate lenses and treatments. Daily responsibilities include counseling customers on frame and lens choices,
advising on protective coatings such as Eyeblue, and ensuring that prescriptions are accurately translated into finished eyewear. The role involves maintaining detailed clinical records, coordinating with sales and customer service teams to support the “home try and buy” experience, and educating customers on eye care best practices. The Optometrist will also contribute to community outreach related to the company’s mission of promoting vision health and preventing avoidable visual impairment.
Qualifications
- Professional optometry qualification (Bachelor’s or Doctor of Optometry or equivalent) and valid registration/license as required by local regulations.
- Strong clinical skills in refraction, diagnosis of common eye conditions, and prescribing lenses and basic treatments.
