Drugparadigm is an
AI-driven drug discovery startup
focused on building advanced predictive and generative deep learning models across small molecules, biologics, antibody engineering, and other next-generation therapeutic modalities. The company is incubated at K-Hub Incubation Forum, the DeepTech innovation centre of the KMIT Group of Institutions.
As we expand our in-house experimental capabilities, we are looking for a hands-on
Synthetic Chemist
to drive the synthesis of molecules that enable our in-vitro
experimental validation workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute synthetic routes for discovery-stage molecules, with opportunities to work across small molecules, PROTACs, molecular glues, ADC intermediates, peptides, and chemical probes.
- Execute multi-step organic synthesis using modern synthetic methodologies and optimize reaction conditions for improved yield and efficiency.
- Perform reaction monitoring, work-up, purification,
and isolation of target compounds using chromatographic and related purification techniques.
- Characterize synthesized compounds using analytical techniques such as
NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, IR
, and other spectroscopy methods.
- Support hit-to-lead and lead optimization programs by synthesizing SAR-driven analogs.
- Work closely with biology and AI research teams to deliver compounds for in-vitro validation and mechanistic studies.
- Assess the synthetic feasibility of computationally generated molecules and recommend modifications that preserve the intended design while improving chemical tractability.
- Maintain accurate experimental records, compound inventories, and project documentation using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs).
- Develop scalable and productive synthetic methodologies for challenging chemical targets.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety practices, chemical handling procedures, and quality standards.
