As we build out our own line of Pet & Hygiene Care products, we are looking for a hands-on Formulation Chemist to lead product development from concept to shelf-ready formula.

Role Overview

The Formulation Chemist will own end-to-end development of new pet grooming and hygiene products, such as shampoos, conditioners, wipes, sprays, and related care items for the Indian market. This is a founding-team R&D; role: you will establish formulation processes, work directly with the Founder, coordinate with contract manufacturers, and ensure that every product that carries the S Labs name is safe, effective, compliant,



and cost-competitive.

Key Responsibilities

•
Design and develop current formulations for pet grooming and hygiene products (shampoos, conditioners, wipes, sprays, powders, and allied categories) suited to the Indian climate and water conditions.

•
Select, evaluate, and source raw materials and active ingredients, balancing efficacy, safety, cost, and shelf stability.

•
Conduct bench-scale trials, stability testing (accelerated and real-time), and compatibility studies; troubleshoot formulation issues during scale-up.

•
Ensure all formulations comply with applicable Indian regulations, FSSAI, BIS, and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and maintain complete documentation and INCI listings for each product.

Coordinate with third-party manufacturers (CMOs) and vendors for pilot batches, scale-up production, and quality checks; maintain vendor specification sheets.
