WorkEvo is building an AI-powered HRIS + Payroll platform for Indian mid-market companies. We are early, pre-launch, and looking for someone who wants to build the GTM function from scratch instead of joining an existing one.

The Role

You'll be our first Sales/Business Development hire, responsible for taking the product from zero to our first paying customers, and for shaping how we sell going forward. This role has no existing playbook. You'll be writing it alongside the founder.

What You'll Do
- Identify and reach out to our first target customers (50-500 employee Indian companies, especially fast-growing startups and companies still on Excel/Tally-based payroll)
- Run demos, handle objections, and close early pilot and paying customers
- Build and test outbound channels including direct outreach, CA/accountant referrals, founder communities, and LinkedIn
- Feed customer feedback directly into product and pricing decisions. You'll have real influence here, not just quota pressure
- Help build repeatable sales collateral such as pitch decks, comparison sheets,



and demo scripts as we learn what works
- Represent us in the market through comparison content, podcast guest outreach, and community engagement

What We're Looking For
- 4-8 years in Sales/BD, ideally at a B2B SaaS company. HR tech experience is a strong plus (Keka, greytHR, Zoho People, Darwinbox, HROne, or similar background especially valued)
- Comfortable with ambiguity. No existing playbook, no big team to lean on
- Genuine curiosity about HR/payroll pain points, not just quota-chasing
- Robust communicator who can explain a technical AI product simply to non-technical HR buyers
- Self-starter who can work directly with a founder day-to-day
