Trek is hiring for the role of BI Report Developer
Responsibilities Of The Candidate
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI/SSRS.
- Monitoring and optimization of PowerBI reports
- Conversion of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports to PowerBI
- Conversion of Microsoft Excel reports to PowerBI
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within Power BI and SSRS reports.
- Optimize Power BI data models and queries for performance and scalability.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and understand their reporting requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for Power BI / SSRS solutions.
- Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders to improve general data literacy and help enable reporting self service
- Assist stakeholders in using reports and educating on solutions when needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest features and updates in Power BI.




- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in BI development.
- Understanding of BI concepts, data integration, data warehousing, data modelling.
- Responsible for taking on support rotation with guidance; analyze bugs that come into our ticketing system and resolves independently or create a developer bug
- On-call support for mission-critical reporting

Requirements
- Must be able to work during office hours in various time zones as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
- Ability to Demonstrate PowerBI Mastery
- Experience with DAX, SQL, and MDX (MDX is not required but practical)
- Power Query Mastery (knowledge and mastery of M language not required but useful)
