S&P; Global is hiring for the role of Data Researcher I
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and collect data on ship casualties worldwide (collisions, strandings, missing vessels, fires, etc.).
Track ship recycling events (broken up, scuttled, scheduled for demolition).
Report on piracy incidents (hijackings, kidnappings, suspicious approaches).
Monitor maritime security and legal disputes, including ship arrests and crew abandonment cases.
Track crew and passenger incidents, including fatalities, overboard cases, and rescues.
Gather and report data on marine pollution events and cargo damage/loss.
Verify incidents using open sources, licensed tools,
and maritime databases.
Draft explicit, accurate, and timely incident summaries.
Maintain and update internal tracking systems and databases.
Support special projects and analyses related to maritime risks and trends.
Should be able to support operations on Public holidays, well-being days, any other S&P-provided; holidays, and during emergencies
