Key Responsibilities
- Operate horizontal or vertical honing machines as per production requirements.
- Set up jobs, fixtures, and honing tools according to component drawings.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Select suitable honing stones, abrasives, and cutting fluids.
- Adjust machine parameters such as spindle speed, feed rate, stroke length, and expansion settings.
- Achieve specified bore size, roundness, cylindricity, and surface finish.
- Inspect finished components using Bore Gauge, Inside Micrometer, Vernier Caliper, Dial Gauge, Air Gauge, and Surface Roughness Tester.
- Record inspection results and production data.
- Replace worn honing stones and perform tool dressing when required.
- Perform first-piece approval and in-process inspections.
- Ensure machines are cleaned and maintained daily.
- Follow 5S, Kaizen, TPM,



and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the Quality and Maintenance departments to resolve machining issues.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of Honing Machine operation.
- Understanding of bore finishing processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.;
- Knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of honing stones, abrasives, and coolant selection.
- Positive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic preventive maintenance knowledge.
- Strong focus on quality and safety.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
