Paytm is hiring for the role of Backend - Software Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance server-side applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with senior technology stakeholders to align software development with business goals and user demands.
- Design, implement, and optimize microservices, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the codebase.
- Utilize cloud technologies (AWS) and modern development tools to build robust and efficient backend systems.
- Work with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication between services.
- Integrate caching solutions (Redis/Aerospike) to enhance system performance and response times.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization across both API and storage layers to ensure seamless user experience.
- Participate in architectural discussions and design reviews to drive innovation and quality in engineering solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and QA to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Engage in code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing to maintain coding standards and technical excellence.
- Use data-driven approaches for debugging, monitoring, and improving application behavior and system health.
- Demonstrate ownership and initiative in a rapid-paced, entrepreneurial environment focused on innovation and impact.
Preferred Experience
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in server-side application development using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience working with relational databases (RDBMS) and writing optimized SQL queries.
- Exposure to messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ for building event-driven applications.
