Role & responsibilities

A)

International Logistics & Operations Management

End-to-End Coordination: Oversee day-to-day international freight operations, covering ocean, air, rail, and road transportation.

Carrier Management: Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with freight forwarders, custom house agents (CHAs), and shipping lines.

Freight Optimization: Negotiate shipping rates, contract terms, and space allocations to ensure cost-efficiency.

Tracking & Resolution: Monitor shipments via transit milestones, proactively resolving delays or transit disruptions.

Documentation & Customs Compliance

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure absolute adherence to global trade compliance, federal customs regulations, and international laws.

Document Accuracy: Oversee the precision of trade documentation, including Bills of Lading (B/L), Airway Bills (AWB), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and Letters of Credit.

Duty Control: Manage the computation and timely payment of tariffs,



duties, and price conversions.

Auditing: Conduct pre- and post-entry audits of customs declarations to avoid fines, delays, or penalties.

Financial & Risk Management

Cost Control: Track international logistics budgets, analyze shipping spend, and execute cost-reduction strategies.

Risk Mitigation: Secure required insurance coverage for global movements and handle freight damage or loss claims. Well versed with ECGC modalities.

Remittance Tracking: Collaborate with banks and finance teams on LC compliances.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Internal Alignment: Partner with Procurement, Sales, Production, and Warehousing to align shipping timelines with business demands.

Team Supervision: Train and lead a high-performing team of EXIM specialists, coordinators, and document clerks
