We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Direct Tax Executive to manage direct tax compliance, tax filings, assessments, and advisory support for clients. The ideal candidate should possess sound knowledge of Income Tax laws, tax compliance requirements, and related regulatory provisions.
Responsibilities
Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITRs) for individuals, firms, LLPs, companies, trusts, and other entities.
Computation of taxable income and tax liabilities.
Review and reconciliation of tax data, financial statements, and supporting documents.
Ensure timely compliance with statutory due dates.
Preparation and filing of TDS returns.
Verification of TDS deductions and reconciliation with Form 26AS and TRACES.
Handling TDS notices and rectifications.
Assisting in scrutiny assessments, appeals, and other tax proceedings.
Assisting in tax planning and advisory assignments.
Conducting research on direct tax provisions, amendments, and judicial pronouncements.
Assisting in the preparing of tax opinions, memos, and client presentations.
Coordinating with clients for information and documentation.
Providing regular updates on compliance and assessment matters.
Building and maintaining professional client relationships.
Qualifications
CA Inter / Semi-Qualified CA / Qualified CA / B.Com / M.Com with relevant experience. Additional qualifications in taxation will be an advantage.
Experience
1 – 4 years of experience in Direct Taxation, preferably with a CA firm or consulting organization.
Required Skills and Competencies
Solid knowledge of the applicable laws and related rules.
Familiarity with income tax portal, TRACES, and compliance procedures.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
Good analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
