Key Requirements

8 years of experience in automotive component design with the support of CATIA software.
Utilize CAD software (CATIA V5/V6) to create detailed 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and systems for automotive applications.
Collaborate with cross functional team to understand design requirements and specifications.
Good knowledge in PLM (Dassault System Enovia) for drawing release activities.
Knowledge on Engineering change order and requests.
Develop innovative design solutions that meet performance, reliability, and cost targets while adhering to project timelines.
Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate design concepts, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
Perform tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;) to ensure proper fit, form, and function of components.
Generate detailed engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and other technical documentation to support manufacturing and assembly processes.




Work closely with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to ensure that designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve design quality and efficiency.

Key Skills & Competences

Proficiency in CAD software, such as CATIA.
Positive knowledge in PLM for release and engineering changes activities.
Engineering drawing interpretation: Dimensioning and tolerancing, GD&T;, Surface treatments, Sealing requirements, Form-Fit-Function (FFF)
Experience with design analysis tools (e.g., Finite Element Analysis) is added advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry standards.
