At Jiostar network, we are looking for a deeply passionate and enthusiastic person who can turn consumer feedback and exploratory insights into compelling new show concepts and relatable characters. This incumbent will drive our content strategy by forward-planning story tracks, monitoring competitor launches for potential remake opportunities and using observational trend studies to keep our storytelling fresh and impactful.

The programming strategy team is responsible for market research, consumer insights, and programming strategy for the channels. The team is making plans and strategies for the channels, based on various quantitative and qualitative inputs. The team is also responsible for driving channels GRPs and market share using data, competition tracking and analysis. They drive the market data to create a well-balanced schedule of original shows and special programming. This team collaborates closely with programming, Fiction and marketing teams to ensure content aligns with business objectives.



By developing strategic content roadmaps and the team plays a critical role in enhancing the channel’s viewership, driving audience loyalty, and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

- Conduct consumer research and gather audience feedback on fiction and non-fiction shows to identify improvement opportunities.
- Drive exploratory research and insight mining to generate ideas for recent show concepts and content innovation.
- Analyze audience behavior, viewing patterns, and content preferences to provide actionable recommendations.
- Conduct observational studies to identify successful story trends, character arcs, and engagement drivers that can serve as benchmarks for future content development.
