Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in Python, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building scalable backend services, developing high-performance microservices, and owning critical production systems from architecture through deployment. This role requires strong system design skills, hands-on coding expertise, and the ability to solve complex engineering challenges in a fast-paced product environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
Build robust microservices using REST APIs and gRPC.
Develop backend services using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Design scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems and contribute to system architecture.
Implement asynchronous programming and concurrency patterns for high-throughput applications.
Optimize PostgreSQL databases through schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
Build, deploy, and manage applications on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.




Take end-to-end ownership of backend services from development to production support.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.
Monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement performance improvements.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8-15 years of experience in backend software development.
Strong proficiency in Python, including synchronous and asynchronous programming.
Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Robust expertise in Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, and gRPC.
Experience working with Protobuf.
Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, concurrency, and fault tolerance.
