In this role, you will contribute to developing modern software solutions that enable seamless service experiences and efficient operations across Ford’s ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable web applications, APIs, and microservices using modern architectures
- Build high-quality software using clean coding practices and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into solutions
- Contribute to Agile development practices, including test-driven development (TDD)
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and frequent releases
- Improve system performance, reliability, and observability using monitoring tools
- Support automated testing and improve test coverage across applications

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills




- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack or backend software development
- Solid experience in:
- Java (Core Java) and Spring Boot
- Front-end frameworks such as React OR Angular
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture
- ​Experience of relational databases (PostgreSQL, AlloyDB , SQL Server)
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of Agile development practices

Good to Have
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud platforms
- Knowledge of containerisation and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, etc.)
- Exposure to API gateways and cloud monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace)
- Understanding of DevOps practices and build tools (Maven, Gradle)
- Experience in pair programming or Extreme Prog
