Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily production operations, including assembly, testing, and final product readiness.
- Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery schedules and business objectives.
- Plan manpower deployment, machine utilisation, and resource allocation to maximise productivity.
- Monitor production output, quality, efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop production engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Coordinate closely with Quality, Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Service teams for seamless operations.
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare daily, weekly,
and monthly production MIS reports and performance dashboards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and process optimization.
- Ensure adherence to safety, housekeeping, and workplace discipline across the production floor.
Qualifications
- Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics Engineering (MBA in Operations/Production Management preferred).
- Experience: 7–8 years of manufacturing experience.
- Prior experience in medical device manufacturing is highly preferred.
Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of production planning and manufacturing operations.
- Experience in assembly and testing of medical devices such as Oxygen Concentrators, BiPAP, CPAP, ECG, or similar healthcare equipment.
- Hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and people development skills.
