We are looking for a mechanically strong Design Engineer with
2–3 years of experience
in
PTC Creo
and positive working knowledge of
automobile systems
, especially
braking systems
. The candidate will support design, modeling, and basic engineering calculations for brake system components under the guidance of senior engineers, while contributing independently on modeling and drafting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and model braking system components (calipers, discs/drums, master cylinder, brake booster, pedal box, brake lines/hoses, mounting brackets, etc.) using
Creo Parametric
.
- Assist in
engineering calculations
for brake performance — braking force, torque, hydraulic pressure distribution, pedal ratio, and stopping distance — under senior engineer guidance.
- Create 2D detailed drawings (with GD&T;) and 3D CAD models/assemblies as per design standards.
- Support tolerance stack-up analysis and basic DFM/DFA checks.
- Coordinate with testing, validation, and manufacturing teams during prototype builds.
- Maintain and update design documentation, BOMs, and calculation sheets.
- Support design changes/ECNs and track design revisions.
- Assist with supplier drawings review and basic feasibility checks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
- 2–3 years
of hands-on experience with
Creo Parametric
(part modeling, assembly, drafting).
- Basic to good understanding of
automotive braking systems
— hydraulic/mechanical fundamentals and brake dynamics.
- Good grasp of
engineering fundamentals
: statics/dynamics, strength of materials, and basic thermal concepts (heat generated during braking).
