Job Description: Senior Architect – 4G/5G RAN

Location: Bangalore, India

Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced Senior Architect – 4G/5G RAN to define and drive the end-to-end architecture of our next-generation LTE and 5G NR Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions.

In this role, you will lead the architectural design and evolution of Layer 1 (PHY), Layer 2 (MAC/RLC/PDCP), Layer 3 (RRC/NGAP/XnAP), and OAM components. You will balance high-performance, real-time software engineering with strict compliance to evolving 3GPP standards. As a principal technical leader, you will collaborate across product management, development, and validation teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, production-ready RAN products.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership: Define and own the end-to-end RAN software architecture for LTE and 5G NR products. Drive modularity, scalability, high performance, and cloud-readiness.

Core Design & Decision Making: Drive critical architecture decisions across the stack, including PHY processing, scheduling,



mobility management, control plane signaling, OAM, and RAN optimization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, System Engineering, Validation, and Customer Engineering to translate business goals into technical specifications and robust software.

Development & Integration Oversight: Provide hands-on technical guidance during feature development, system integration, interoperability testing (IOT), and field performance optimization.

Quality & Engineering Excellence: Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, and design proposals. Enforce engineering best practices, robust debugging, and optimization techniques.

Performance Engineering: Drive system-level performance tuning, resource optimization (CPU/Memory/Latency), and complex debugging to meet and exceed product KPIs.
