We are looking for a passionate and driven Bio Medical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Rungta Hospitals
Role & responsibilities
- Install, test, calibrate, and maintain biomedical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and other diagnostic or therapeutic devices.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and performance checks as per schedule.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment servicing, warranty claims, and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, service history, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all biomedical devices meet hospital safety and quality standards.
- Assist in technical evaluation of recent equipment and participate in procurement discussions.
- Train hospital staff on the proper use and care of medical devices.
- Ensure compliance with biomedical waste, safety norms, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support during installation of new medical facilities or expansion projects.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 510 years of experience in hospital equipment maintenance.
- Sound knowledge of hospital biomedical devices and electrical safety standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain documentation and generate technical reports.
