About the Program

At Nexal IITNexal IIT, we're doing things differently. This isn't a traditional job or a standard internship—it’s an open collaboration program designed for aspiring UX designers to gain hands-on, real-world experience. If you are self-taught, a design student, or transitioning careers, this is a space for you to solve actual user problems, build your portfolio, and learn by doing alongside our team.

What You’ll Do
- Research & Discover:
Help conduct user research, analyze competitor products, and gather qualitative feedback to understand user needs and pain points.
- Map User Journeys:
Create user personas, information architecture, and user flows to structure how people interact with a product logically.
- Wireframe & Prototype:
Draft low-fidelity wireframes to outline page structures and build interactive prototypes for usability testing.
- Test & Iterate:
Run basic usability tests, analyze the results,



and iterate on your proposed solutions to improve the overall user experience.

Who You Are
- Passionate about human-centered design and eager to learn (no specific design or psychology degree required).
- Solid grasp of UX methodologies (empathy mapping, user flows, wireframing) and basic proficiency in tools like Figma, FigJam, or Miro.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on logic and usability over pure aesthetics.
- Bonus points:
If you have written a UX case study, understand basic UI principles, or have experience conducting user interviews.
- Curious, driven, and comfortable asking questions.
