Mahila Housing Trust (MHT) is a public charitable trust established in 1994 and headquartered in Ahmedabad. MHT works to improve housing, habitat, and living conditions in low-income urban communities by strengthening the knowledge, skills, confidence, and leadership of women residents.

MHT views habitat as a productive asset and works to advance equitable access to basic services, climate-resilient infrastructure, and dignified living conditions. MHT currently works in more than 700 settlements across 41 cities in India.

About the Role

MHT is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the planning, execution, supervision, quality assurance, and monitoring of civil construction and climate-resilient infrastructure projects. The role includes site supervision, coordination with Government departments/Contractors and other stakeholders. Ability to prepare measurement and billing, review of technical drawings, quality control.

As MHT serves as a Project Management Consultant (PMC) for several assignments,



prior PMC or consultancy experience will be an advantage. This is a full time consultancy engagement based primarily in Ahmedabad, with regular travel to project locations in Gujarat and Rajasthan, including Jaipur.

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise civil construction, infrastructure, and climate-resilient works at project sites.

· Ensure execution is aligned with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.

· Conduct site surveys, levelling, setting out, measurements, quantity estimation, and verification of completed works.

· Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, rate analyses, measurement books, contractor bills, and related project documentation.

· Prepare, review, and revise civil and construction drawings using AutoCAD.

· Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, fabricators, community teams, and MHT programme staff.
