Client: A global travel management and retail travel company operating across corporate and leisure travel.

Engagement: Contract role for 6+ months

Shift: 6:00 PM IST for overlap with Spain, US teams.

Role Overview We are looking for a hands-on Senior Test Engineer to join the client's delivery squads as a dedicated, full-time member. You will independently own test design and automation for your squad's features, building and maintaining BDD-driven automated suites in Cucumber and Playwright, and acting as a quality advocate within the team.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end and integration automated tests using Playwright and Cucumber.
- Author clear, maintainable Gherkin/BDD scenarios in collaboration with developers and product owners.
- Own test coverage for assigned features — from test planning and case design through execution and defect triage.




- Integrate and maintain tests within CI/CD pipelines; investigate failures and distinguish genuine defects from flaky tests.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Support and guide junior Test Engineers on framework usage and best practices.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks, applying strong coding and debugging standards.

Required Experience
- 5+ years in QA/test automation with solid hands-on delivery.
- Proven hands-on experience with Cucumber, Playwright, and BDD.
- Solid scripting/programming ability (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred; Java acceptable).
- Understanding of Page Object Model, modular frameworks, and test design patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD integration, Git, and Jira; strong debugging and analytical skills.
- Comfortable operating independently within an Agile squad and across distributed timezones.
