A System Administrator (System Admin) is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing an organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, operating systems, and user accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain servers and operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix).





Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

Perform system backups and disaster recovery planning.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

Apply security patches, updates, and antivirus solutions.

Configure and manage cloud services and virtualization platforms.

Maintain network infrastructure such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

Document system configurations and procedures.

Support end-users and coordinate with IT teams.
