Role & responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Stack HCI clusters.
- Install and administer Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), storage pools, and Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV).
- Configure and maintain Windows Failover Clustering and Hyper-V environments.
- Perform cluster lifecycle management, including node addition/removal and capacity expansion.
- Plan and execute cluster patching using Cluster-Aware Updating (CAU) while minimizing downtime.
- Monitor infrastructure health, storage, networking, and cluster performance.
- Troubleshoot hardware, storage, networking, and cluster-related issues.
- Configure and manage Azure Arc integration and hybrid cloud services.
- Collect and analyze logs for incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Ensure hardware, firmware, and operating system updates are maintained.
- Develop operational documentation, SOPs, and deployment guides.
- Collaborate with cloud, virtualization, storage,



and networking teams to resolve production issues.

Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Azure Stack HCI (23H2/24H2).
- Robust knowledge of Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) and software-defined storage.
- Experience with Windows Failover Clustering and Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV).
- Expertise in Hyper-V virtualization.
- Knowledge of Azure Arc and hybrid cloud integration.
- Experience with Windows Admin Center and PowerShell scripting.
- Good understanding of Windows Server (2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Knowledge of networking concepts including RDMA, SMB Direct, VLANs, Switch Embedded Teaming (SET), and Network ATC.
- Experience with cluster monitoring, performance tuning, and health checks.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
