Mathematics Teacher

Job Summary

The Mathematics Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging mathematics lessons, developing students' conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities, assessing academic progress, and creating a positive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and a love for mathematics.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective mathematics lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual, monthly, weekly, and daily lesson plans.
- Teach mathematical concepts using interactive and activity-based learning methods.
- Assess students through classwork, homework, projects, assignments, and examinations.
- Analyze student performance and provide timely feedback.
- Identify students who need additional support and provide remedial coaching.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive exams (Olympiads, NTSE, JEE Foundation, etc., where applicable).
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and academic documentation.




- Integrate technology such as smart boards, educational software, and digital resources into teaching.
- Create worksheets, question papers, and learning materials.
- Foster logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a secure, inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and school events.
- Perform examination duties and other responsibilities assigned by the school administration.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- B.Ed. degree (mandatory for school teaching).
- CTET/TET qualification (preferred where applicable).
- Strong knowledge of the CBSE Mathematics curriculum.
- Proficiency in English communication.
