The CFO will be a strategic and operational finance leader, responsible for driving financial excellence across manufacturing, recycling operations, and trading/export activities. The role requires solid expertise in commodity-linked businesses, working capital management, compliance, and plant finance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Partner with promoters to define long-term financial strategy and growth roadmap
- Lead financial planning for capacity expansion, new plants, and diversification (e.g., recycling streams)
- Drive profitability improvement across plants and product lines
2. Plant & Manufacturing Finance
- Oversee plant-level P&L;, costing, and margin analysis
- Implement robust systems for:
- Yield optimization (input scrap vs output metal)
- Cost control (energy, raw material, recovery efficiency)
- Monitor inventory valuation (LME-linked pricing, metal exposure)
3. Working Capital & Treasury Management
- Manage high working capital cycles involving:
- Scrap procurement
- Inventory-heavy operations
- Optimize:
- Cash flow
- Banking lines (CC/WC limits, LCs, BGs)
- Drive relationships with banks/NBFCs for structured finance
