The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the complete jewellery manufacturing process to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with the company's quality standards. The role requires robust leadership, production planning, workforce management, cost control, and the ability to effectively manage urgent and high-priority production requirements.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise the entire jewellery manufacturing process.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved without compromising quality.
- Monitor workflow and optimize production efficiency.
- Coordinate with Sales, Merchandising, CAD, CAM, Casting, Manufacturing, QC, and Dispatch departments.
2. On-Time Delivery
- Ensure all customer orders are completed and dispatched according to committed delivery dates.
- Monitor production progress and proactively resolve delays.
- Prioritize production activities based on customer commitments and business requirements.
3. Quality Management
- Ensure every product meets the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
- Work closely with the Quality Control team to minimize defects and rework.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
4. Disaster & Rush Order Management
- Effectively manage urgent, overloaded, and high-priority orders.
- Develop contingency plans to handle machine breakdowns, manpower shortages, and production bottlenecks.
- Reallocate resources and adjust schedules to minimize delivery risks.
- Ensure smooth production continuity during unexpected situations.
