Fikar Media is an independent Punjabi media platform dedicated to reporting, explaining, and investigating the issues shaping Punjab. The team produces journalism, documentaries, podcasts, essays, and visual storytelling that cover politics, economy, agriculture, migration, environment, culture, and Sikh heritage. The platform was created to address the lack of deep understanding, not just opinions, about Punjab’s challenges and opportunities. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Graphic Designer (Punjabi) role based in New Delhi. The Graphic Designer will create visual assets for digital and print platforms, including social media graphics, thumbnails, infographics, and layouts that align with Fikar Media’s editorial voice and Punjabi-language content.



Responsibilities include collaborating with editors, writers, and video producers to translate complex ideas into explicit, compelling visual stories; developing and refining brand identity across projects; and preparing files optimized for various channels and formats. The role also includes iterating on designs based on feedback, maintaining consistency in typography and visual standards, and contributing creative concepts for campaigns and special projects.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with the ability to create clear, engaging visual content for Punjabi audiences.
- Experience in Logo Design and Branding, including developing and maintaining a cohesive visual identity across platforms.
- Proficiency in Typography, with attention to layout, readability, and stylistic consistency (Punjabi and English typography an advantage).
