Role & responsibilities
- Maintains glassware by picking-up, cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and distributing.
- Examining and analyzing cells, tissues and blood by collecting samples. For example, collecting blood samples to conduct blood tests.
- Performing tests to look for microorganisms, parasites or bacteria in body fluids and blood.
- Making specimens or samples to examine the count of cells in blood and abnormal cells in blood or body fluids.
- Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
- Enhances laboratory and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing recent and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Providing support and reassurance to patients, taking into account their physical and psychological needs.




- Ensuring that equipment is regularly checked for malfunctions and any faults are reported.
- Responding to telephone enquiries relating to patients, lab requests, prescription

requests etc.
- Co-ordinating appointments for specialist referrals, x-rays lab testing, etc. and conveying

pertinent instructions and information to the patient.
- Completing and co-ordinating consent forms and day sheets.
- Performing other related duties within the clinic as may be assigned.
