SEPG Lead – Job Description

Role Overview

The Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG) Lead drives enterprise process excellence, governance, and continuous improvement, aligned to CMMI, ISO 9001/27001, ISMS, SOC and applicable privacy requirements.

Number of years’ Experience – 5 to 10 years

Key Responsibilities

1. Governance & Standards

Define and maintain enterprise process standards, policies, and controls.

Align delivery processes to CMMI/ISO/ISMS/SOC expectations and applicable privacy requirements.

Run governance cadence (reviews, checkpoints) to ensure consistent adoption across accounts.

Act as escalation authority for systemic process risks and recurring deviations.

2. QMS & Knowledge Assets

Own the QMS repository (processes, templates, guidelines, checklists) and ensure currency and usability.

Maintain version control, release notes, and audit readiness for all process artefacts.

Enable reuse through standard assets (e.g., SOPs, work instructions, estimation templates, plans, SLAs, RFP artefacts).





Maintain the process database and knowledge management repository for organisational learning.

3. Improvement, Metrics & Audit Readiness

Assess process capability and maturity; identify gaps and execute improvement roadmaps.

Institutionalise learning (best practices, lessons learned, actionable recommendations) across projects.

Define and track KPIs/maturity indicators; provide leadership-ready insights to drive decisions.

Lead audit/compliance readiness for CMMI/ISO/ISMS/SOC through evidence discipline and traceability.

4. Adoption & Enablement

Drive training, communication, and adoption of standard processes across teams and delivery units.

Partner with delivery leadership, PMO, QA, and audit stakeholders to remove adoption barriers.

Build a process-driven culture by coaching teams and reinforcing compliance expectations.
