Job Title: Procurement Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for solar EPC and infrastructure projects. This includes vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, material planning, and ensuring timely availability of quality materials at optimal cost. The role requires strong coordination with project, engineering, and finance teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage complete procurement lifecycle including sourcing, RFQs, evaluation, negotiation, and order finalization
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor base for solar modules, inverters, structures, cables, and BOS items
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials as per project timelines
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost optimization
- Prepare comparative statements (CS) and vendor evaluation reports
- Coordinate with project and planning teams for material requirement planning (MRP)
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Handle contract management, purchase orders, and documentation
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement strategies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Robust negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of solar EPC materials and supply chain
- Commercial acumen and cost analysis capability
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical preferred)
- MBA in Supply Chain / Operations (preferred)
