Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled
Works Engineer
with expertise in historic adaptive reuse and heritage-sensitive construction. The role involves supervising day-to-day site operations, ensuring the proper execution of architectural and services drawings, and maintaining high standards of quality control while addressing the unique challenges of heritage structures.

Key Responsibilities

Technical and Drafting
- Prepare accurate technical drawings and 3D visualisations using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and V-Ray.
- Ensure proper execution of architectural, structural, and MEP (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and ELV) drawings.

Site Supervision and Quality Control




- Oversee and manage daily construction activities, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.
- Supervise contractors, craftsmen, and labour teams while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Monitor and ensure conservation-sensitive construction practices, particularly in lime, stone, and other traditional materials.

Coordination and Reporting
- Liaise with architects, heritage consultants, engineers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Document daily progress, prepare site reports, and proactively communicate challenges and proposed solutions.

Specialised Heritage Execution
- Integrate contemporary systems such as museum-grade climate control, lighting, security, and exhibition display systems within historic structures.
- Ensure compliance with heritage conservation guidelines and all applicable statutory and regulatory approvals.
