Position Summary
The NYSTRS Information Technology Division is seeking candidates for an Information Technology Specialist 2-Programming position for the Investment Solutions team. This position will work with our Asset Classes to support investment-related applications and integrations between NYSTRS and our third-party applications and vendors. The incumbent of this position will be held to high standards of integrity and customer service,
while also being expected to perform advanced technical work on complex projects.
NY HELPS Program Information
This title is part of the Current York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).

This is a promotional title, so all promotional opportunities must be exhausted before a non-state employee can be appointed via NY HELPS.
For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled with a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications, and any specialized requirements, of the title for which they apply.
At a future date (within one year of permanent appointment), it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination.
