Your Opportunity
As a Cloud Security Engineer on BeGig, you’ll work on freelance projects focused on securing cloud infrastructure, applications, and data across modern cloud environments. You’ll help organizations build resilient, compliant, and secure systems—without the constraints of a traditional full-time role.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement
cloud security architectures and best practices
- Secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Manage identity and access (IAM), roles, and permissions
- Implement network security, encryption, and data protection strategies
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, threats, and suspicious activity
- Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks
- Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps practices)
- Implement logging, alerting, and incident response mechanisms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enforce security standards
What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience in
cloud security and infrastructure security
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security services
- Knowledge of IAM, network security, encryption, and secure architecture
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security automation
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and threat detection tools
- Understanding of compliance standards (ISO, SOC2, GDPR, etc.)
- Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A self-driven freelancer who can independently secure cloud environments
