Role & responsibilities
- Imaging & Diagnostics: Assist in performing and interpreting procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and Ultrasounds (USG). Prepare and position patients, explaining the process to ease anxiety. [1, 2]
- Reporting & Consultation: Review preliminary images for clarity, collect and summarize clinical data, and help generate reports for senior radiologists or referring physicians.
- Patient Safety & Quality Control: Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety protocols and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles. Verify proper calibration and maintenance of equipment.
- Clinical Coordination: Serve as a liaison between the radiology department and other medical wards, ensuring seamless multidisciplinary team communication regarding patient care plans.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: MBBS with a postgraduate specialization or diploma (MD, DNB, or DMRE) in Radiology. (Some hospitals may also take freshers with a medical degree)
