Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care
- Provide nursing care to patients with ophthalmic conditions
- Monitor patient vitals and overall condition
- Maintain patient safety, hygiene, and comfort

2. OPD (Outpatient Department) Handling
- Assist doctors during eye consultations and examinations
- Record patient history, visual acuity, and vital signs
- Prepare examination rooms and diagnostic equipment (slit lamp, tonometer, etc.)

3. Operation Theatre (OT) Assistance
- Prepare OT for surgeries like cataract, glaucoma, retina, etc.
- Ensure sterilization of instruments and maintain aseptic workplace
- Assist surgeons during ophthalmic procedures
- Monitor patients before and after surgery

4. Medication & Treatment
- Administer eye drops, ointments, and prescribed medicines
- Assist in diagnostic tests and eye treatments




- Follow hospital protocols for treatment and care

5. Post-Operative Care
- Provide post-surgery care and patient instructions
- Educate patients on medication usage and follow-ups
- Support recovery and complication monitoring

6. Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain patient records, OT logs, and reports
- Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and nursing staff
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards

7. Equipment & Infection Control
- Maintain medical equipment and inventory
- Ensure proper sterilization and infection control practices
- Keep wards, OPD, and OT clean and organized

Required Qualifications
- GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery)
- Valid Nursing Registration
- Basic knowledge of ophthalmic procedures (preferred)
