Job Description:

The CFD Engineer is responsible for evaluating and improving engine hardware designs through internal and external flow analysis using tools such as Converge,

Ansys,

or others, while validating predictions with experimental data and theoretical calculations.

Responsibilities/Outcomes

:
- Responsible for analysing CFD simulations for external flows such as aerodynamic bodies, vehicles, turbine and compressors as well as internal flows such as nozzles, injectors, manifolds, combustion chambers and cooling channels
- Generate high-quality computational meshes, select suitable turbulence models, define appropriate boundary conditions and ensure numerical convergence
- Validate simulation results against theoretical calculations, experimental data, or literature.
- Provide verification on the components reliability and ensure performance requirements are met for all the phases.




- Generate technical reports summarizing findings, assumptions and recommendations.

Basic Qualification

:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or any related Engineering.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience using CFD tools.
- Basic understanding of Fluid dynamics, gas dynamics and thermodynamics.

Preferred Skills & Experience

:
- Master's degree or PhD in mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
- Solid fundamental understanding of turbulence, combustion and heat transfer modelling.
- Experience with meshing (ANSYS Meshing, ICEM CFD, Gambit), model selection, setup and post processing of steady and transient CFD simulations using ideal and real fluid equation of state (using Ansys Fluent, Converge, etc)
- Experience with scripting (Python, MATLAB etc) for parametric studies or automation.
- Understanding of cryogenic propellants and its behavior.
- Experience on test data interpretation and correlation
