Role Description
The OT Staff Nurse is responsible for providing safe, high-quality nursing care in the Operation Theatre at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai. This full-time, on-site role includes preparing the OT and equipment, assisting surgeons during procedures, and maintaining strict aseptic techniques. The OT Staff Nurse monitors patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively, manages instruments and consumables, and ensures accurate documentation of procedures and nursing interventions. The role involves coordinating with anesthesiology, surgical, and support teams, adhering to hospital protocols and infection control standards, and supporting smooth OT workflows and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications
- Clinical nursing skills in perioperative care, including patient assessment, monitoring, and postoperative care management.
- Strong knowledge of OT procedures, surgical instruments, aseptic techniques,



and infection control practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, with clear communication and collaboration with surgeons, anesthetists, and support staff.
- Competence in documentation, adherence to hospital protocols, and basic computer skills for electronic medical records.
- Recognized Nursing qualification (GNM/B.Sc Nursing) with valid nursing registration; prior OT experience in a multispecialty hospital is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, manage emergency cases, and maintain calm, patient-focused care in high-pressure situations.
