Pinewood School is seeking a Director of Soccer to lead, support, and manage all phases of the girls and boys soccer programs (grades 6–12) from September through April for the 2026–27 academic year. The Director of Soccer will collaborate with athletic directors and coaches to help improve the overall boys and girls soccer program experience. Ideal candidates should have extensive coaching experience at a competitive club, high school level or beyond and have connections in the local soccer community. This role will report to the Athletic Directors.

Responsibilities
- Oversee six competitive soccer teams: girls soccer (grades 6–8, grades 9–12) and boys soccer (grades 6–8, grades 9–12)
- Manage the administration of the girls and boys soccer program for grades 6–12.
- Work both on-campus and remotely from September through April.
- Work with teams in-person, training and preparing for games from mid-October through early March. Practices and games take place at Pinewood's Middle Campus, Upper Campus, and off-site from 3–5 pm, Monday through Friday.




- Collaborate with coaches to help develop a comprehensive age-appropriate soccer plan with progressive skill and tactical development for grades 6–12.
- Assist with interviewing/hiring of head and assistant coaches for all 6–12 soccer teams.
- Attend two practices and/or games a week for each team you oversee.
- Hold regular team-oriented check-ins with team coaches.
- Conduct a post-season debrief and feedback session with all 6–12 grade head coaches.
- Work with coaches to provide year-round playing and training opportunities for all players.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with the athletic directors, athletic trainers, sports performance coaches, assistant coaches, facilities personnel, and others in the school.
- Communicate and exchange information accurately and effectively with others in person and on the phone.
- Help retain quality student-athletes currently in our boys and girls soccer programs.
