The Excavator Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tracked or wheeled excavator equipped with specialized recycling attachments. The primary focus is to dismantle end-of-life vehicles, pull out high-value components (engines, wiring harnesses, catalytic converters), sort ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and feed vehicles into crushers or balers, maximizing material recovery while strictly adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely strip and dismantle ELVs using excavator.
- Efficiently extract heavy components such as engines, transmissions, axles, and catalytic converters from vehicles.
- Segregate materials accurately into designated piles or bins to maximize processing value.
- Load processed vehicle hulls and scrap metal into balers, compactors,
or shredder feed conveyors safely.
- Select, fit, and swap specialized attachments (shears, grapples, magnets) based on the processing requirement.
- Perform daily pre-start inspections including checking fluid levels (hydraulic oil, engine oil, coolant), track/wheel integrity, and checking for hydraulic hose leaks.
- Clean, grease, and perform minor adjustments to the excavator and its attachments to minimize machine downtime.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
