Job Summary

The Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for assisting consultants in providing comprehensive patient care by conducting clinical assessments, documenting patient information, coordinating treatment plans, performing procedures within the scope of practice, and ensuring continuity of care. The role requires sound clinical knowledge, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant (B.Sc. Physician Assistant) from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the applicable regulatory authority, if required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS certification is preferred.

Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a multi-specialty hospital.
- Experience in ICU, Emergency, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, or Surgical Specialties is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist consultants during patient examination, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.




- Perform detailed patient history taking and physical assessments.
- Monitor patient progress and promptly report significant clinical changes to the treating consultant.
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, clinical notes, and discharge summaries.
- Assist in performing clinical procedures within the approved scope of practice.
- Collect and interpret patient data, including laboratory and diagnostic reports.
- Coordinate investigations, referrals, admissions, transfers, and discharge processes.
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in emergency response, including Code Blue and trauma management, as required.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and NABH guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with doctors, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
